The Michigan Wolverines are currently facing an NCAA investigation into an alleged illegal sign-stealing scheme. And Ohio State Buckeyes legend Joey Galloway wants harsh punishment against the Wolverines – as long as the allegations are proven correct.

During an appearance on ESPN on Tuesday night, Joey Galloway – a former Ohio State wide receiver who is now a college football analyst for ESPN – called for “due process” in determining the facts surrounding this case. But if it’s determined that Michigan cheated to win the rivalry showdown against his alma mater, he wants strong repercussions.

“I just want due process,” Galloway said according to On3. “Let’s not jump to any conclusions. Let’s not punish until we have the facts. Once they get the facts, once they figure out exactly what happened and exactly who did it. If he cheated against the Buckeyes, he should be kicked off of planet earth. I’m just saying.”

Still, despite his desire for punishment if the allegations are proven correct, Galloway reiterated his desire for all of the facts to be surfaced first.

“Due process if all I’m asking for in this situation,” he said. “I know everyone jumps to the conclusion of, ‘we have to punish and then let’s investigate to find out just how bad it is.’ It shouldn’t work that way.”
