The spectacle that was Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather was one of the oddest sporting events in recent memory. McGregor who fought (fights?) in the UFC and Mayweather, the undefeated champion faced off in what would be a freak show of a match. McGregor would gas out by the 10th round and Mayweather was able to put him away.
The event rubbed people the wrong way and it didn’t add much to Mayweather’s boxing legacy. In fact, it has only called it into question more. Mayweather took home $100 million and McGregor brought back $30 million. Neither were hurting for money afterward and both were able to talk about the match fondly.
How fondly? Fondly enough that Mayweather has a painting of McGregor in his home. Mind you, this is the same McGregor that called Mayweather illiterate as well as a few other derogatory terms. Money cures all though.

When someone helps you make a $100 million dollars, any prior feuds go away or at least that looks to be the case with Mayweather.
Pondering it myself, I’d let anyone who pays me $100 million do whatever they please in regard to artwork in my house. It could be the ugliest piece in the world and I would be smiling all the way to the bank. Mayweather knows all about that exact feeling.
