After a productive offseason, the Chicago Bears are highly rated, and that’s reflected in the betting market.
DraftKings Sportsbook has a new betting for the 2024 NFL Coach of the Year Award: Matt Eberflus.
Eberflus is now listed at +900 odds, 9-to-1, to win this season’s coveted honor. His odds have recently increased to win the honor, causing him to trend up.
He’s not the universal favorite right now among the books. FanDuel SportsBook still lists Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh as their book’s betting favorite to win the award. Eberflus is a tick behind at +1000, 10-to-1, which has him even with Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris.
Over at DraftKings, Harbaugh has +1100 odds (or 11-to-1) to win the award, the same odds as New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh. Morris is at +1300, the same as Texans coach DeMeco Ryans, while Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur stands at +1200.
At FanDuel, Saleh is a significantly bigger longshot at +2000 or 20-to-1.
Futures bets are always daring to forecast. Often, though, it’s best to do them in the offseason before everybody jumps on the train. Bets must be being made in droves in Eberflus’ favor to see him rise up the rankings. But time will tell if it all shakes out that way.
And, as always, gamble responsibly.
