Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears will open the 2024 NFL season against the Tennessee Titans. Star defensive end Jeffery Simmons sounds ready for it.
The former two-time Pro Bowler with the Titans boastfully sent a message the way of the rookie quarterback Williams. Simmons appears to be salivating at the chance to not only take the former USC quarterback down but mock him too.
Pro Football Focus posted a graphic that got significant attention on Wednesday morning. Simmons said of Williams, “Painted nails. I can’t wait to say that to him.”

Williams received “criticism” after appearing out in public with painted nails, but the former Heisman Trophy winner explained his reasoning after that backlash occurred. Frankly, the dude can do whatever he wants. No one in Chicago is going to really care, so long as the Bears win.
Mocking is kind of lame, but it makes for some good theatrics in late June. Bears fans bit back after hearing Simmons’ words and defended their quarterback and his style choices.
Needless to say, everybody can’t wait for football to start. The Bears and Titans will open the season against each other soon enough. We’ll see if Simmons can make good on his word. Similarly, if Williams and the Bears best Simmons and the Titans, we’ll see if Chicago kept the receipts.
