The Oregon State Beavers have taken a new approach on recruiting. They have taken to the sky.
This is a first when it comes to recruiting for college football. Oregon State has been flying a plane with an electronic marquee on the bottom of its wings, displaying “GO BEAVS” and “OREGON STATE FOOTBALL” on them.
The plane flys over different high school football games throughout Oregon and it has been catching a ton of buzz. Oregon State, usually in the shadow of Oregon, is looking promising this season at 5-0 for the first time since 1939.
It’s highly unlikely that this plane will be the difference maker in a high school football players choice of school, but it is one way to get the school’s name out there and get noticed.
