Taylor University basketball fans continued their Silent Night tradition this last week which is spectacular, to say the least. A packed house of 2,265 fans this last Friday night were able to experience it in person, and we are very jealous.
Stephen Douglas of The Big Lead describes the tradition:
This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Taylor University, a small liberal arts college in Indiana has an incredibly cool tradition every year on the Friday before finals begin. On “Silent Night” Taylor students pack the gym, but don’t make a noise until the home team scores their 10th point of the game. Students wear increasingly weird outfits and the evening ends with the gym swaying, arm-in-arm, signing Silent Night.
