Country music artist Willow Avalon was tabbed to sing the national anthem before Sunday’s NFL showdown between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears, but fans were not exactly pleased with the outfit she chose to wear for the performance.
The Jacksonville Jaguars took on the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday morning. Even though the game was played in the United Kingdom, it still featured an American recording artist singing the United States National Anthem.
However, Willow Avalon’s outfit sparked outrage.

During her performance, the country music star wore what appeared to be a pink fuzzy robe, which many fans thought looked like a bath robe.
Needless to say, many fans found her attire completely inappropriate for the occasion.
“She wore a bath robe to do the National Anthem at the #Bears game in London and sounded like a parody of a country singer,” one fan wrote on X.
“I mean, I know it’s early in the USA but she could have dressed up to sing the national anthem and not turn up in her bath robe………,” another fan said.
“lady sings national anthem in her bath robe? wow,” another fan added.
“Why is this girl wearing a robe singing the national anthem,” one fan quipped.
As for the game itself, the Bears went on to win in a blowout behind a dominant performance from rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
