Bears make major move for Caleb Williams

The Chicago Bears have made a number of big moves this offseason to improve their offense for the 2024-25 season. But one piece to the puzzle regarding top draft pick Caleb Williams was finally done by the organization on Wednesday.

Williams, who was selected by the organization with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has remained one of the few first-round selections that have not yet signed their rookie deals.

Obviously, this is incredibly important considering Williams is among the most important parts of the Bears’ attempted rebuild. Luckily, Bears fans can exhale now, as Williams did finally agree to terms on his rookie deal with Chicago on Wednesday.

Tom Pelissero broke the news that Williams has officially agreed to terms on a four-year $39 million deal with the Bears.

It will be interesting to see how Williams does this coming season. We have seen rookie quarterbacks struggle early on in their first NFL season. But Williams is seemingly in a great position to succeed with all of the added talent around him brought in by the Bears organization.

The Bears have brought in the likes of Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift, two weapons who were incredibly productive on their respective teams last year. Add that in with an already dynamic receiver in DJ Moore, and Williams certainly has his fair share of dynamic weapons to utilize.

All of these additions from the Bears have made them real candidates to make some significant improvements this coming season. Currently, their over/under win total for the upcoming season sits at 8.5 games, also sitting as favorites to make the postseason this coming season.
