New York Jets superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers has never been shy about sharing his opinions or predictions, especially around politics. And he made a pretty shocking prediction about Joe Biden a few months ago that doesn’t look all that far-fetched anymore.

During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience back in February, Aaron Rodgers suggested that Joe Biden would not perform well in a debate with Donald Trump, calling him “Weekend at Bernie’s,” which is a comedy movie that involves pretending an old man is alive.

“I think that this is going to be a crazy year,” Rodgers said according to Jets Country. “They can’t roll out ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ and expect him to be able to debate and or actually carry a conversation.”

Rodgers went on to predict that the Democratic party would wait until it’s “extremely obvious” that Biden is not able to serve as president again and then replace him with someone else on the ticket – Gavin Newsom was his prediction.

“I think the plan is you wait until it becomes extremely obvious that Biden can’t do it and then they pull him out,” Rogan said. “I think they probably put in Gavin Newsom.”

Of course, this prediction has not been far off. Biden struggled in his debate with Trump on Thursday and there has been a lot of speculation about potentially replacing him with someone else on the ballot, with Newsom’s name often suggested.

Obviously, Biden is still planning to run for president as of now, but Rodgers’ prediction is not all that wild in hindsight.
