Things did not exactly go well for Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers last season after they selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft as Young struggled and the team finished with the worst record in the NFL. But it sounds like Young has been quite impressive this offseason.
During a press conference this week, Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales had a pretty clear message to Bryce Young about just how impressed he has been with the young quarterback this offseason.
“He’s doing fantastic with it,” Canales said of Young according to The Spun. “Deep ball, short intermediate, he’s just a really accurate passer. … I don’t have to worry about where the ball is going. He’s very accurate, and I know that … I think it’s the ability of Bryce to be able to throw to different body types, different speeds, different quickness at the top of routes. So I’m really impressed with that part of it.”
Obviously, Young will have a lot to improve upon this offseason if he is to live up to the high expectations placed upon him as the No. 1 overall pick. We’ll have to see how he looks this season.
