It looks like the organizers of Super Bowl LVIII were put in a pretty stressful position of needing to replace one of their performers at the last minute as one of its performers announced that he had to pull out due to a “family emergency.”

On Thursday, Grammy Award-winning DJ Tiesto announced that he, unfortunately, had to return home due to a “personal family emergency” and will be unable to perform at the game, saying “Family always comes first.”

“Me and my team have been preparing something truly special for months, but a personal family emergency is forcing me to return home Sunday morning. It was a tough decision to miss the game, but family always comes first. Thank you to the @NFL for the collaboration and looking forward to working with them to deliver something incredible together in the future!” DJ Tiesto said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

DJ Tiesto was set to provide pre-game entertainment ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, but it looks like that entertainment will now be a little bit lighter.

This led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Even though DJ Tiesto will be unable to perform, before the game, all of the other previously-scheduled performers are still scheduled to do their performances.

Reba McEntire will perform the National Anthem with Post Malone singing “America The Beautiful” and Andra Day performing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
