Prior to his press conference with Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao was on ESPN’s His and Hers to discuss his much-hyped upcoming match.
Pacquiao was asked if he thought that Ronda Rousey, the brilliant MMA fighter and Pacquiao fan who is going to attend the match, could beat Floyd Mayweather in an MMA fight.
Pacquiao, after laughing a bit, softly and thoughtfully offered this in response:
“I believe so. She’s strong and she’s strong enough to beat Floyd Mayweather in MMA.”
To be fair, Rousey told Power 106 Los Angeles that she could beat Mayweather back in Februrary. Who is Pacquiao to say otherwise?
No one knows how the fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather will turn out, but the buildup to it has been excellent so far.
