On Sunday, Texans defensive end and occasional receiver J.J. Watt scored his fourth touchdown of the season. And while he’s surely not going to end up as one of the league’s scoring leaders (right?), Watt has been incredibly productive on the offensive and defensive sides of the field this year. Through ten games this season, Watt has produced two receiving touchdowns and two defensive touchdowns (one was an interception which Watt returned for a score while the other was a fumble recovery).
Needless to say, while Watt’s defensive prowess is unsurprising, his now semi-regular trips to the end zone have been a shocking treat this year. How shocking? Here are ten wide receivers who have scored fewer touchdowns than J.J. Watt so far this season.
Wes Welker – 1 Touchdown
Welker has played in eight games this season, during which he’s looked like a shadow of his former self. A year removed from being an integral part of one of the best offenses in NFL history, Welker has only amassed 264 yards and one score this season.
