Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is one of the more forward-thinking GMs in all of sports — not just the NBA. He’s also very active on social media and interacting with fans, such as the time he shared his favorite interview answers from NBA Draft prospects, or confirming his account at Clutch Fans. Today, Morey was asked on Twitter if NBA GMs (to his knowledge) read message boards and, if so, are ever actually inspired by trades proposed by anonymous Internet posters.
In other words, some guy sitting in his mom’s basement, fiddling with the ESPN Trade Machine, may be directly responsible for a real-life NBA transaction or two. There’s a joke about the Eastern Conference somewhere in here.
