The NHL’s new “Stadium Series” outdoor games got underway this weekend when the Kings and Ducks faced off at a balmy Dodger Stadium on Saturday night, followed by the Rangers and Devils going head-to-head at a chilly Yankee Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Like we’ve come to expect from the Heritage Classic and the Winter Classic before them, the first round of Stadium Series games were a unique spectacle in a very special setting that provided fans with a beautiful viewing experience and players with one of the more memorable regular season tilts they’ll ever play in.
Here are some of the best shots from the weekend, courtesy of Eye On Hockey.
