This year, Jordan Love replaced future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers. And as the San Francisco 49ers prepare to take on Love and the Packers in the playoffs this week, Niners star pass rusher Nick Bosa got brutally honest about a difference that he sees between Love and Rodgers.
During an interview session this week, Nick Bosa described Jordan Love as “a quarterback who does exactly what he’s coached to do,” and called out Aaron Rodgers for going “outside of the realm of coaching.”
“Aaron Rodgers is a Hall of Famer and unbelievable but he kind of went outside of the realm of coaching and sometimes it’s good when you have a guy who does what he’s coached to do,” Bosa said in a video shared by KNBR.

It’s a pretty brutally honest assessment of Rodgers’ game and calls out a little bit of a shortcoming in the way he plays, but Bosa has played against Rodgers multiple times, so he is well aware of how to compare the two quarterbacks.
We’ll have to see if Bosa is right that Love’s style of playing quarterback could provide a boost to the team’s offense compared to the way Rodgers plays.
