There have to be other forces at play for Deandre Jordan to go back to the Clippers after already having agreed to a deal with the Mavericks. And those forces are basically the entire Clippers team.
After Jordan decided he might want to go back on his deal with the Mavericks, head coach/team president Doc Rivers and owner Steve Ballmer worked to secure a meeting with him in Houston. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, J.J. Reddick, and Paul Pierce took to the emojimobile shortly after to join Rivers and Ballmer in trying to convince their big man to come back to Los Angeles.
The Clippers felt so good about their chances of getting Jordan back, in fact, that they’re sleeping over at his house until he can officially sign at midnight.
