Overview:
The Dodgers are banking their season on Clayton Kershaw on short rest. Kershaw had an amazing season but his first start of the postseason didn’t end well. The Cardinals rocked Kershaw for eight runs in 6 2/3 innings with most of the damage being done late. Still, considering Kershaw’s whole body of work this year, one can understand why Kershaw is getting the nod. He is, without a doubt, one of the best pitchers in the game. The Cardinals will be putting Shelby Miller on the mound. Miller’s one outing against the Dodgers wasn’t great – Miller gave up six runs in five innings in a loss. Aside from the stadium that they find themselves playing in, the Dodgers are positioned well to extend this series.
