The Nationals were able to stay alive for one more day, as the complexion of the whole series seemed to turn on Madison Bumgarner’s misplay of Wilson Ramos’ bunt in the seventh inning of Game 3. Thanks in large part to the blunder, the Nationals have extended the series to a crucial Game 4. The Giants will look to close it out tonight while the Nationals will try to do something which is rarely done – extend this series to a Game 5 and a chance to storm back from being down 2-0 in a best-of-five series. Make sure not to miss this game, which will be shown on FOX Sports 1.

Overview:
The Washington Nationals were able to secure a season-saving win thanks to, of all things, a bunt. Now, both teams will send out pitchers who have yet to pitch this postseason. The Giants will send out Ryan Vogelsong while the Nationals will go with Gio Gonzalez, a pitcher who has looked particularly strong as of late. The Giants bats have also gone particularly cool over the past couple of games, as they’ve batted .159 over the past 27 innings of play. Combine that with Vogelsong’s average season, and we may have a do-or-die Game 5 when it is all said and done.
