Overview:
The Giants were able to get past the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Wild Card game but things don’t get any easier as the team is now set to face the Washington Nationals – a team which led the NL in wins this season. And while the Nationals will be sending out their ace in Stephen Strasburg, Jake Peavy has been no slouch this year, as he’s been incredibly solid for the Giants since being traded to San Francisco midway through the season. The Nationals got the best of the Giants over the regular season series, winning five of seven games against San Francisco.
