Caitlin Clark is not afraid of anyone, she’s made that much clear.

Philadelphia Eagles star defensive back Cooper DeJean said that he thought he could beat her one-on-one in a game of basketball, and she let him know she wasn’t having it.

“She took a shot back at me,” Dejean told sportscaster Kay Adams in an interview.

“She texted me, and she said didn’t think that I could beat her. I’ll let her say that, but yeah, I mean, I think it’d be fun if we got to play each other.”

Fans reacted to the pair’s bold claims to one another.

“CC would win a game of horse, or a 3 pt contest. 1 v 1 Cooper wins 10-3. Just too fast, too strong and his vertical would be more than CC could handle,” one fan added on Twitter.

“Love, love, love CC… but she’s wrong… surely she knows that,” one fan added.

“The world needs to see them play a game of HORSE now. It’s the only way to settle this,” one fan added.

“We need to see this at Carver in Iowa City!!!” one fan added.

“Only non athletic people think these women could do well against men who are also athletic, could CC beat the brakes off some shlub who hasn’t touched grass since the late 90s, sure, but an nba player? a male college athlete? a male athlete of any kind? no, you are clueless,” one fan added.

It’s an intriguing idea and it’d be great to see the pair face off against one another.
