Caitlin Clark joined the Indiana Fever earlier this month as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. And it sounds like she is already impressing her head coach at the very start of training camp.
The Indiana Fever began their preseason training camp on Sunday. And after just her first practice with the team, Indiana Fever head coach Christie Sides had some high praise for Caitlin Clark. And while Clark has become feared for her shooting, Sides loved another thing about her game: her passing ability.
“Her ability to space the floor for us is just incredible,” Sides said after the first practice according to Fox News. “We’re going to have five players on the court that can shoot it, but her passing ability – you saw some of the passes she made. I’m more mad at how many missed layups we had. I think we’re just not used to having those, someone who can make those passes.”
Clark will have the chance to show how she can perform at the professional level on Friday when the Fever takes on the Dallas Wings in their first preseason game. We’ll have to see how Clark handles the move to the WNBA.
