Sunday’s matchup between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky is a much-anticipated event pitting rivals Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese against each other once again. And with ticket prices for the game soaring, Clark seems to think the game should be played in a bigger arena.
Given that tickets prices for Sunday’s game between the Fever and the Sky are well over $100 for the cheapest tickets, Caitlin Clark made it clear that she thinks the game should have been played at the United Center – the home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks – instead of the smaller Wintrust Arena.
“I mean, I saw the ticket prices. I guess the only thing is I’m surprised we’re not playing at the United Center,” Clark said in a video shared by Indiana Fever beat writer cott Agness. “I thought that would have been really good for the game and for all the women’s basketball fans in Chicago. Maybe there’s a conflict of some sort that I don’t know about. Obviously that’s a little above my pay grade.”
While Clark is correct that a game of this caliber could have used a bigger arena, there is indeed a conflict that she was unaware of as rapper and singer Russ is slated to perform in the United Center on Sunday.
But in the future, maybe games between these two teams will get more priority.
