Back in 2022, Brittney Griner went through a horrible ordeal after she was taken into custody in Russia after authorities found a small amount of prescription cannabis oil in her luggage, resulting in months of captivity. And now, she’s opening up about the whole situation.
Brittney Griner released her book detailing the entire ordeal from her perspective. And as she promotes the book this week, she sat down for an interview with fellow United States Olympic legend Megan Rapinoe for The Cut, and Griner was even on the cover of the latest edition, which she shared in a post on Instagram.
“Thank you to @thecut and @mrapinoe for sharing my story. This whole experience has taught me the value of time because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed! I can only hope that those who hear my story and read COMING HOME will too see the value in time and begin living through your life’s greatest challenges! TOMORROW IS PUB DAY! Let’s go!” Griner wrote in the caption of the post on Instagram.

The magazine cover quickly went viral on social media as fans offered their reactions in the comments.

“Okkkkk B! As the kids say, ‘you ate'” another fan said.
“This is a good look for you @brittneyyevettegriner! Keep shinning!!!” said another fan.
“This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL” another fan said.
It’s clear that Griner has a lot of support.
