A Tampa woman is being hailed as a hero for saving the life of a fellow triathlete, and promptly finished the same race. Not a shabby day if you ask me.
Teresa McCoy saw two officers huddled over a man during the race. The officers thought the man might be having a seizure. McCoy, who’s a nurse, checked for a pulse and couldn’t feel one. The 37-year-old began CPR and called for a defibrillator. McCoy says the man came to as soon as they used the defibrillator. The gentleman was put in an ambulance and sent to the hospital where he is said to be doing fine. As one would usually do, McCoy got back on her bike and completed the Triathlon. That is how you finish a race in style.
