The dudes over at How Ridiculous visited the Orbit in London but they did so to not only take in the view but to also launch basketballs at a hoop 80 meters (about 262 feet) below them on the ground.
However, the two men were not merely content with hitting the shot while facing the basket. In order to up the difficult even further (as if it needed to be), they then went about trying to make the shot with their backs to the basket. And wouldn’t you know it, they succeeded and now claim that it’s the world’s highest backwards shot.
As amazing as a backwards shot from 80 meters off the ground is to behold, when one considers that the trick shot group once made a shot from 126.5 meters, perhaps our expectations should be tempered.
