Tiger Woods withdrew from the Cadillac Championship today after only 11 holes. Tiger was seen limping on the 10th hole and he even needed to change shoes at the turn. Woods was carted off the course and left immediately, and drove himself away from the course. We are told that he withdrew with “a left leg injury.”
According to Tiger:
“I felt tightness in my left Achilles warming up this morning, and it continued to get progressively worse,” Woods said 90 minutes later through his publicist. “After hitting my tee shot at 12, I decided it was necessary to withdraw. In the past, I may have tried to continue to play, but this time, I decided to do what I thought was necessary.”
Tiger was +3 for the day and -6 for the tournament when he withdrew.
