When it comes to the Tour de France, watching it on television doesn’t come close to telling the whole story. The riders may look like they’re cycling at a brisk pace, taking their time, but they’re actually going at an average of 25 miles per hour. You don’t want to fall off your bike at 25 mph, but the thing with cycling is, when one rider falls, others are bound to go with him.
Check out this nasty spill at the Tour de France.
From another angle.
First off, thank God for GoPros. Second, really nasty fall. That one guy must have indirectly taken out like 20 racers. And third, what’s the road made out of? Looks like they fell on a patch of ice or oil slick.
