The Kentucky Derby is set to take place on May 2nd and one of 25 horses will soon forever be immortalized as a racing great.
And while there can only be one Kentucky Derby winner, there are plenty of winning horse names to be found at this year’s Derby. They’ll have plenty to live up to as the names of recent past Derby winners (California Chrome, Orb, I’ll Have Another etc.) have really pushed the envelope when it comes to champion-caliber names.
