In a hoops world dominated by The Swoosh it’s refreshing to see other companies get in the game. Recently companies such as China brand Li-ning and football heavyweight Under Armor have made moves onto the hardwood. Another company making a strong statement this season is Spaulding. Spaulding has been the official ball of the NBA since 1983 so the company certainly has the right contacts, but they haven’t graced the feet of a big time player since Hakeem Olajuwon.
According to Dime Magazine, Jimmer Fredette, Mario Chalmers and Chris Singleton will be wearing Spaulding kicks this year. The above picture shoes Jimmer’s pair. Can Spauling become a dominant player in the basketball shoe space?
