Rory McIlroy had a frustrating moment this week on the eighth hole of his second round at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, but the damage has finally been mitigated.
Having birdied the previous hole, McIlroy had a mental-lapse and hit an errant shot. Obviously a little frustrated, Rory then launched his golf club into the water and left it for dead.
Well, the 3-iron was rescued a day later by an unnamed scuba diver who took it upon himself to recover the discarded club. He was successful and thankfully it was all caught on video.
Here is that beautiful toss by Rory in case you missed it.
