Sports Illustrated invited Ronda Rousey to be a 2015 SI Swimsuit athlete and while she was understandably nervous about the shoot, the UFC fighter definitely kept things in perspective when she spoke with SI.
Putting on a swimsuit for the rest of the world to see? A little nerve-racking. However, that nervousness has nothing on what makes her so damn great. Rousey detailed her feelings over the photo shoot to Sports Illustrated:
“I get nervous, but I don’t get scared like fighting. I get scared of fighting, because the worst that could happen is that I could die or get permanently maimed or become a quadriplegic for the rest of my life.
We suppose that when you can do this in the ring, doing a photo shoot must not seem nearly as intimidating:
Ronda is set to fight Bethe Correia on Saturday. Needless to say, Rousey didn’t look nervous at all during the two fighters’ face-off on Thursday.
