Rory McIlroy had One Direction’s Niall Horan caddie for him at the Masters’ fun Par 3 Contest and McIlroy allowed Horan to take a shot on the ninth hole. It… didn’t go well.

The best thing about this is you know that the commentator had that pithy “That WAS one direction” jab prepared just for that moment where Niall’s ball found nothing but water.
According to Phil Casey of the Press Association, Niall was properly mortified by his showing.
"I apologise to golf" says @NiallOfficial after McIlroy let's him hit a shot and it's a terrible hook into the water on the ninth

However, maybe nerves were just getting the better of the poor One Direction star. After all, Niall had even had trouble finding his footing while he walked next to Rory.

Poor guy was simply out of his element.
