Josh Kroeger perfectly showed why celebrations need to be toned down some, especially in minor league ball. Kroeger sprained his right knee during his celebration following the Zephyrs win over Omaha on Monday night. He is now on the DL. Check out the video below to see the on-field celebration gone wrong.
After Joe Thurston’s RBI-double with two out in the ninth which gave New Orleans a 7-6 victory, players rushed the field and Kroeger made a bad leap himself into a group of teammates and went down very awkwardly.
Zephyrs Manager Greg Norton said;
“He jumped up; the guy moved away, it (the knee) buckled.’’
