Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar wide receiver Mike Evans has played his entire career with the team up to this point after they selected him with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. But after the two sides failed to agree to a contract extension before the start of the 2023 season, his time in Tampa Bay could come to an end – but Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles does not want to even think about that.
Todd Bowles is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but Todd Bowles made it clear that not only does he want Mike Evans to stick around next season, but he’s so concerned about it that he doesn’t even want to think about the possibility of him leaving.
“I don’t even think about it. I don’t like to be asked about it. I don’t want to know about it and I hope to hell that does not happen,” Bowles said of Evans’ possible departure according to Greg Auman of Fox Sports.
Bowles on Mike Evans and the thought of him playing elsewhere: "I don't even think about it. I don't like to be asked about it. I don't want to know about it and I hope to hell that does not happen."

Evans has had 10 consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons since he was selected by the Buccaneers in 2014 and has been one of the most consistent and reliable players in the entire NFL throughout that span.
Obviously, the Buccaneers will want to keep him around. We’ll have to see if they can make it happen.
