Meet Calumet High School’s 350-pound running back

Calumet high school has got a secret weapon, and his name is Joshua Jackson.

Joshua “Bubba” Jackson is a 6’3″ 350-pound high school athlete who’s multipositional ability is a sight to behold. He’s played on both the defense and offense, ran the ball for Calumet New Tech High School, and even played wildcat quarterback.

I feel incredibly bad for the scrawny high school players who have to try to take down this big dude. He’s borderline un-tackle-able.

So far this season, Johnson has rushed for 114 yards and two TDs, while completing two passes. He seems happy with his role on the team.

 “I’ve got good footwork, and I’ve got good balance, so I just challenge myself to do something new every day,” Johnson told the Northwest Indiana Times, “and when the opportunity presented itself for me to run the ball, I said, ‘Hell yeah.’”

As long as Johnson is happy and healthy, let him play as many positions as possible. His weight isn’t an obstacle. Instead, it’s an advantage when it comes to playing much smaller players. Give him the ball in short yardage situations, and there’s a good chance he’ll hit the end zone.
