The Associated Press is reporting that Texas Christian University, currently ranked number three in the BCS rankings, will leave the Mountain West to join the Big East conference. The move would give TCU Automatic Qualifier status for the BCS and give the Big East a boost in football quality as well as expanding the conferences recruiting and TV base. This appears to be good news for everyone but the Mountain West who will be left with a major whole to fill.
A press conference is expected later today with all the details expected to be revealed.
