Golfers at Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood, Florida had their round crashed by a gigantic alligator that wandered out onto the green at the 7th hole last week. There are pictures to prove it and – if real – they’re absolutely terrifying.
From TheBlaze:
[Myakka Pines’ general manager, Mickie Zada] assures us that the photos as well as the gators on the golf course are “quite real.”
According to Zada, in the club’s 37-year history, there are no reports of alligators attacking golfers. “They usually move when the golfers approach,” Zada said. Adding, “And we tell golfers to just forget about any golf balls that end up in the water.”
I don’t know who the hell decided to get so close to snap these photos but, goodness gracious, they’ve got a serious set of cajones to approach that beast. I would have ditched my bag and ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction. I’ve seen Happy Gilmore far too many times to think that approaching a gator on a golf course is a good idea.
