The ECHL’s Toledo Walleyes and Evansville IceMen will channel their inner Gotham next month when they wear Batman-inspired jerseys for ‘Heroes Night,’ a special promotion honoring local police and fire departments.
On November 22nd, the Walleyes jerseys will feature the 1960s Batman uniform, while the IceMen will be rocking sweaters designed to look like the Riddler’s famous green, question mark-emblazoned suit. Fans attending the game are also encouraged to dress like their favorite superheroes, which certainly should create for an interesting crowd.
Not only are the jerseys pretty great, they’ll also go to a great cause. The game-worn uniforms will be sold after the final whistle during a live auction, with proceeds benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association, March of Dimes and the Walleye Wishing Well. Awesome.
