When asked about Dallas Mavericks’ forward Caron Butler’s season-ending knee injury, Phil Jackson said what we were all thinking. “He leaves a vacuum that will be very hard for them to fill.”
Not bad, right? Most of us would have said “DUNZO!” Short and sweet. Phil took the high road.
Mark Cuban, however, didn’t take kindly to those words, saying “I love that Jeanie Buss’ boy-toy had something to say about us. I don’t know if it was his thought or Jeanie’s thought, but it’s nice to know that she lets him speak in public about other teams.”
When asked about the Lakers and their recent struggles, Cuban said, “I don’t have a take on his team. I like Jeanie.”
You’d better hope Jackson is right, Mark, because if you happen upon the defending champs in the playoffs Phil’s going to be ready with a big ol’ can of this:
