Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brandon McCarthy was told today that he would be out for the rest of the season with a UCL tear, and he responded with one of the best Tweets possible.
Instead of sulking or expressing anger, McCarthy lightened up the situation with some much needed humor.
to be fair, 31 years of use is a lot to ask for from a ligament

Hard not to love that. Best of luck to Brandon on his road to recovery.
McCarthy was forced to an early exit during the sixth inning of the Dodgers’ 11-8 win over Padres on Sunday, and on Monday he got a MRI which confirmed that he sustained a torn UCL. The Dodgers are in a bit of a tough situation with injuries for their pitching staff as Hyun-Jin Ryu is already out indefinitely with shoulder inflammation.
Brandon McCarthy is out for the year with a UCL tear, according to Don Mattingly.
