It seems a few fans celebrating Oregon’s win over Oregon State and the resulting spot in the BCS championship game decided the best way to show their excitement was to tear up and set fire to part of the field in Reser Stadium. Now the State Police are involved and office Orly (seriously) wants to know whose behind it. Enjoy the moment of anarchy with numerous 18 year olds showing off their best tough guy stances and a man with a championship belt on who Cosby Sweaters are predicting will be the only one the police wind up tracking down:
Not sure what the statute of limitations is on turf burning but I think it’s fair to say that if someone can hold a flaming object over your head in a crowded stadium and security doesn’t try to stop you the police have better things to do than trying to track down that criminal mastermind.
