Premier League team Aston Villa holds a monthly “Goal of the Month” contest, as is customary for many soccer teams.
However, the team ran into one tiny problem when they tried to pick a goal for the month of October. Namely, they had no goals to choose from.
Yes, Aston Villa failed to score a goal during the entire month of October. For that reason, the club was forced to embarrassingly cancel an award ceremony for what is the equivalent of an employee of the month honor.
For the record, the team broke their scoreless run on November 2nd, so they’ll at least have one award to give out for this month.
