The end of the Arkansas-Pine Bluff vs.Southern Ends game did not go as planned, or as anyone would have hoped. The ever reliable Tim Burke reports on the event:
Police were forced to use pepper spray to clear the field after a brawl erupted at the end of Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s 22-21 victory over Southern in SWAC action in Pine Bluff. After a block of what would have been the tying extra point, the fight exploded and reportedly included fans who invaded the field to fight with players. Police reported multiple arrests and there was at least one hospitalization from the postgame activities.
