Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid put all of his force behind a would be hit on Mike Richards of the Philadelphia Flyers during the the first period of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Unfortunately for Adam, Mike Richardson was able to successfully duck away from the hit and the result was McQuaid taking one of the worst face-plants I have seen directly into the boards. McQuaid was transported to Jefferson Hospital in Center City Philadelphia as a result of the hit and as of last word he is thankfully awake and doing well.
