One of the more scary and unusual events happened this past Sunday during a Belgian Pro League soccer match. Lokeren was playing Club Brugge and in the opening minutes Lokeren’s goalkeeper, Boubacar Barry, managed to knock himself out. Barry lunged to stop a shot but miscalculated where one of the goalposts was. The result was a nasty collision and Barry unconscious on the pitch. Barry was treated at a local hospital and discharged shortly, so it seems like it is OK to have a little laugh.
