Even though I sport the cross and not the Star of David, yesterday I went to the Menorah Lighting at Fashion Island. I thought it was a little strange that the Lighting was on the 5th day of Hanukkah (Chanukah, Chanuka, etc.) and they had the Christmas Tree Lighting back in November, but I get it, it’s not the Fairfax District of LA. Aside from the crappy weather, I had a great time. Check out the Menorah—it’s made up of hundreds of little dreidels. I was also able to take a few photos in the parking lot of what I believe to be the Rabbi’s ride. One of his whips with a Menorah on top even had bulbs for candles that correlated with the day of Hanukkah. I have to tell you, this seems much cleaner and easier than strapping the Christmas Tree to my car every year. Check out the gallery below.
