Donald Trump and Joe Biden are gearing up to face off in the upcoming presidential election this November, and it’s one of the hottest topics around the country. But it does not seem like Serena Williams is interested in talking about her relationship with Donald Trump.
During a recent interview on the New York Times podcast “The Interview” which was published on Saturday, Serena Williams was asked about her relationship with Donald Trump after a Trump aide had reportedly testified that the two spoke “frequently.” But the tennis superstar did not want to talk about it.
“I mean, is this what this interview is about?” Williams responded according to The Spun, clearly trying to avoid the question. “Really?”
Williams eventually responded to the question by pointing out that she has talked to a lot of presidents, not just Trump.
“I talk to a lot of presidents. I spoke to Barack [Obama], I spoke to the Clintons. I spoke to every president since I’ve been alive, including Ronald Reagan, I’ll have you know,” Williams said.
But she didn’t necessarily want to talk about what she felt like the presidents were trying to get out of her in their relationship.
“I don’t know, I’m not going to go there,” Williams said.
Clearly, Williams did not want to talk about her relationship with Trump.
