Sony has announced it will no longer be producing its PSP Go gaming console. Sony launched the PSP Go in June 2009. The PSP Go is both a smaller and lighter version of the PSP. Poor hardware and software sales for the device may be attributed to the requirement of side-loading or purchasing games over-the-air. Sony will continue to offer repair and update support for the device while it continues to focus its efforts on the PSP-3000 and its codenamed “NGP.”
