The United States Men’s National Team put itself in a rough spot in the Copa America tournament on Thursday night by losing to Panama. As a result, the team will need a victory over Uraguay on Monday night to have any hope of advancing out of the group stage, and will also need Panama to have a lackluster performance against Bolivia. But no matter what, the team knows they need a victory.

During a press conference leading up to Monday night’s match, USMNT star Jedi Robinson offered his reaction to the brutal situation that the team finds itself in as he pointed out that the team can technically still advance – but they must win on Monday night.

“There’s a lot of different circumstances that can happen in the game that we can still go through to the next stage,” Jedi Robinson told reporters on Saturday, according to Fox News.

“We just have to think that a win definitely gives us the best chance of going through and if we take care of business on the day, and we don’t go through, then that’s unfortunately what will be, will be. But I like to think that if we win, we’ll be going through. So, give ourselves the best chance and go from there.”

He’s not the only one feeling confident.

“We’re all confident,” Tyler Adams said. “When you have 11 players on the field, we can go toe to toe with anybody. The training was good today. We saw the intensity, and we’re going to need that from the first minute against Uruguay.”

We’ll have to see how the team performs on Monday night.
